30 days return guaranteeThe biological indicators contain spores of non-pathogenic microbe cultures that are highly resistant to sterilisation agents. It is the only reliable system that confirms the total elimination of all microbes. The American Hospital Association (AHA) recommends using one biological indicator per steriliser per day. The Attest™ biological indicator has been designed to replace biological sterilisation checks in labs, clinics and health centres. The main difference between Attest™ and traditional techniques is that the result is indicated by a simple colour change in the culture medium, instead of having to identify the organisms growing in the medium. Attest™ indicators contain an acid-base reagent that changes colour according to culture medium pH. The microbes contained in Attest™ give off acidic waste products that change the medium’s pH to an acidic value and its colour turns yellow. After sterilisation, the Attest™ indicator, which was placed alongside the material in the steriliser, is activated and then incubated at 56°C. If after 48 hours the colour remains the same, then sterilisation was performed correctly. Attest™ Incubator: Approved for incubating Attest™ biological indicators. Incubation takes place in dry heat. The indicators are placed in a heating block which incubates them through direct contact at 56°C.
